During my tenure at DiGennaro Communications from 2016 to 2018, I played a crucial role as the Account Lead for Spotify Advertising. My role involved collaborating closely with Spotify’s Global Head of Communications and the Global Head of Advertising Business Communications & PR. This role required me to understand and manage Spotify's advertising strategies and communications on a global scale. I often worked alongside the team from Spotify’s New York City office. Here’s a breakdown of my key responsibilities and achievements:

  1. Spotify Audience Network Launch: I was instrumental in supporting the launch of the Spotify Audience Network, which aimed to enhance Spotify’s advertising capabilities and offer new opportunities for brands to connect with listeners.

  2. "Wrapped" Campaigns: I helped secure high-profile press placements in advertising publications for Spotify’s popular “Wrapped” annual marketing campaign in its inaugural year (2016) and 2017, which is known for summarizing users' yearly listening habits and generating significant buzz.

  3. Event Footprints: I helped manage and promote Spotify’s presence at major industry events such as the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, SXSW, Advertising Week, and CES. My efforts helped ensure that Spotify made a strong impact and gained valuable exposure at these high-visibility industry tentpoles.

  4. Brand Safety and Self-Serve Advertising: I contributed to communications planning around brand safety initiatives to ensure that Spotify’s advertising ecosystem remained trustworthy and effective. Additionally, I supported the launch of self-serve advertising solutions, making it easier for advertisers to directly manage their campaigns on the platform.

  5. Thought Leadership and Executive Engagement: I played a role in crafting thought leadership pieces and managing the executive speakers' bureau, positioning Spotify’s leaders as industry experts. This included preparing executives for public speaking engagements and ensuring their messages aligned with Spotify’s strategic goals.

  6. Award Submissions: I was involved in preparing and submitting entries for awards, helping Spotify gain recognition for its innovative advertising efforts and campaigns.

Overall, my role involved a blend of strategic planning, media relations, event management, and executive support, contributing significantly to Spotify’s advertising success and brand positioning during my time at DiGennaro Communications.
